Profile: Matt and Kellie
“You can be confident that we will give your child a life filled with magical experiences, opportunities, and love from us, our family, and our community.”
"The emotional toll it must take to decide to make an adoption plan is unimaginable, and we hope you are surrounded by people who make you feel loved and confident. Even if we are not the family you choose, we are so thankful that you dare to consider this path for your child. You can be confident that we will give your child a life filled with memorable experiences, opportunities, and love from us, our family, and our community. We have received the gift of adoption once already and understand how precious it is."
Meet Matt and Kellie
"We attended the same high school. A mutual friend reintroduced us several years later. We quickly fell in love and married in the perfect small ceremony. We are best friends and have been inseparable ever since.
Three years ago, we become parents through adoption to an amazing little girl. It’s worth noting that we are also Aunt and Uncle to four adopted children, and Matt’s mother was adopted. Truly, our family embodies the blessing of adoption. From the beginning, we hoped to have a large family together. While our biology prevents this, your selfless decision could help us realize this dream.
Matt has a degree from Purdue University and manages a manufacturing plant. As an engineer, science is an important part of his life. He enjoys the challenges of manufacturing; creating an ordered process out of chaos.
Kellie has a degree from Indiana University and manages a government financial department. Her career path has utilized her talents and dedication to public service.
We adopted our daughter, Frances, through St. Elizabeth Coleman. She was the answer to our prayers and an absolute and constant source of joy and pride since. Frances is smart, inquisitive, courageous, and kind. With Frances, your child would have a wonderful sister and best friend for life."
Our Story
KELLIE WRITTEN BY MATT
"With seemingly little effort, Kellie gives and gives to Frances and me. Without complaint, she offers her whole self to our daughter. It is inspirational to watch her be the mother I always knew she could be. I have always been able to rely on Kellie to provide a solid center to my universe. Without a doubt, she is the strongest person I know. Kellie has a wonderfully sharp sense of humor, with intelligence to match. She is compassionate, driven, caring and kind. She constantly looks for ways to improve and challenges herself in ways I find astonishing. She always overlooks my faults to find the best in me. I love her dearly."
MATT WRITTEN BY KELLIE
"I have been fortunate to call Matt my husband for over ten years. He is who I want at my side through times of trail and next to me for all celebrations. He is levelheaded, quick thinking and never one to make a rash decision. Matt has the amazing ability to plan and prepare us for our future, but still be there in the moment. Because of him and Frances, I strive to be the best person I can be, every day. He is one of the most considerate and compassionate people on this planet, not to mention the smartest. He is driven to success, but never at the expense of our family. Nothing makes Matt happier than when our little family is together. He, as well as I, look forward to growing our family with another child."
MATT FAMILY
"I grew up the oldest of four children, and we continue to be quite close. There are always excuses to spend days together – holidays, cookouts, parties, nice weather, poor weather, it doesn’t really matter. My family is growing quickly, and mostly through adoption!"
KELLIE'S FAMILY
"I grew up in a small town in Indiana with both my parents and a younger brother. I spent a lot of time with my Grandma growing up, because I adored her. She taught me how to sew, cook, and instilled in me my love of baking. I have her rolling pin and think of her every time I use it. My family is very supportive of our decision to adopt again and can't wait to have this addition to our family."
OUR HOME
"Matt and I are dedicated to keeping family traditions alive and making new ones. We looked at so many homes when trying to decide where to live, it was so important to us to have a home where all our family could gather on holidays and important life events. Our families live in Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky- our home is central to them all. We love having everyone over to celebrate holidays, birthdays, or just being together."
OUR COMMUNITY
"We live in a planned neighborhood that truly feels like a small town. The elementary and middle schools are within walking distance. There is a pool, a restaurant, and several parks. Many families with young children are our immediate neighbors. Our church is only a couple of miles from our home. The town we live in has an abundance of festivals, a farmers’ market, and many opportunities to experience nature and outdoors.."
OPENNESS
"We are open to explore whatever you find to be the most comfortable level of involvement."
